Hwang Woo Lim is a South Korean singer and musical actress. She graduated from Seoul Performing Arts High School and later attended Seokyeong University but she dropped out of the Applied Music program. She made her debut in 2015 as the leader of the girl group Playback and a member of the project girl group The Pink Lady. In 2017, Woolim, along with her fellow member Hayoung, became a contestant on JTBC's new survival show MIXNINE. She was eliminated in episode 7 after ranking 60th place. Playback has not officially disbanded but Hwang does not promote with them anymore and instead has re-launched her career as a soloist, focusing on trot music and also acting in musicals. She participated in "Miss Trot 2" and finished in 9th place. In 2021, she signed with LeanBranding Entertainment.
