Kim So Hyun is a South Korean actress managed by Ium Hashtag. She was born in Australia but moved to South Korea in 2003 when she was four years old and is currently studying theater at Hanyang University.

She began her career as a child actress in 2006. She took on her first leading role in the 2015 teen series "Who Are You: School 2015". For her performance in "River Where the Moon Rises", she was nominated for the Baeksang Arts Award for Best Actress in Television, becoming one of the youngest nominees for the award.

In January 2018, the Pyeongchang Organizing Committee for the 2018 Olympic & Paralympic Winter Games (POCOG) chose Kim as the National Representative of Honorary Smile to represent Korea's smile and kindness.
