Issei Takahashi, born in Tokyo, Japan, is a Japanese actor, voice actor and singer.

Takahashi was born as the eldest son and, since his mother had married three times, he has four half-brothers, including the musician Yuma Abe. He looked after his younger siblings when they were infants and has been more like a father-figure to them. He had been estranged from his mother for about ten years and finally reconciled with her a week before her passing.

In childhood, Takahashi’s grandmother got him to take various lessons to bring him out of his shell, but he did not last long with any of them. He joined a children's theatre and was moved by his grandmother's delight in seeing him perform in the company's regular shows. Takahashi has a talent for skateboarding, basketball, guitar and harmonica.

He participated in “Kill Bill Volume 1 & 2” (2003-4) and became notable in voice acting in “Whisper of the Heart” (1995).

On May 16, 2024, he announced his marriage to actress Iitoyo Marie.
